WHO WE ARE
Enniscorthy Christian Fellowship is a church of people who are amazed by God's grace in their lives, who want to grow in our relationship with Jesus and want to share the message of God's love with others.
We come from a variety of different backgrounds but each of us have experienced God's gift of eternal life through trusting in Jesus as the forgiver of our sins and the leader of our lives.AMAZING GRACE
We know that we could never have been good enough to earn our way into God's family.
However we are forever grateful that God has done what we could not by sending his son Jesus to die on a cross and rise again the third day.
When we personally put our faith in Jesus, we believe that all our sins were forgiven, that we were adopted into God's family and that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
OUR MISSION
We are excited about what God is doing in and through us and our desire is for more and more people to come to know Jesus personally in their lives and experience the love, joy and peace that he alone can give.
As a church, we are seeking to to accurately reflect God's design for his people as recorded in the Bible. We do not belong to any denomination but rejoice that we are united with every true believer in Jesus Christ.
We want to see people CHANGED by Jesus and become COMMITTED members of a community of believers, CELEBRATING what God has done,
CARING for others and living CONTAGIOUS lives.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
- The Bible is God's perfect manual for life.
- God is completely holy and completely loving.
- God created the whole universe, and made us in his image.
- Every person has sinned and deserves to be separated from God forever.
- God loves every one of us and sent his son Jesus to bring us into his family.
- Jesus is fully God and became fully human.
- Jesus' death on the cross is the only way our sin debt can be forgiven.
- Jesus rose from the dead, is alive today and is coming back again.
- We can be saved only by God's grace, through faith in Jesus, and not by our own efforts.
- When someone trusts in Jesus, they are given eternal life and the promise of heaven.
- God lives within all who have trusted in Jesus through the Holy Spirit.
- The church is called to love God, serve each other and share the message of Jesus with the world.
- The Holy Spirit empowers Christians to live for God and equips them to serve him.
- We proclaim our faith in Jesus through believer's baptism and celebrate our faith in Christ through communion.

MEET OUR PASTORS
Andrew Burt
Andrew and Lorna Burt have lived in Enniscorthy since moving here to be part of a church planting team in 1999. Previously Andrew had studied for a BSc in Biochemistry at Strathclyde University and a PhD in Glasgow University. Lorna worked in banking in Airdrie in Scotland. In 1996 they were married. They have two young daughters, Niamh and Kerry.
Andrew came to put his faith in the Lord Jesus when he was about 5 years old having been impacted by the faith of his parents. As he grew up he was always involved in his local church and loved getting involved in the background in quiet ways. In his early 20's Andrew was introduced to street evangelism and that deeply impacted his life.
His heart remains in sharing the message of Jesus with others and encouraging the church to do this in their everyday lives. Andrew believes that as followers of Jesus we are called to do more than tell people about the good news of God's love.
He believes we are also called to demonstrate God's love for them. Our vision for ECF is that we would not only share the good news of Jesus with people around us, but in some small way we can be good news to others.
"I've got so many reasons why God shouldn't use me to take the gospel to others." Andrew says, "Everyday I feel completely inadequate for the task that God has given me. Inadequate in love, in holiness, in compassion, in wisdom, in gift, in personality, in strength. But I am convinced that none of that matters because our Father has all the power and strength and ability this task requires."
We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us."
2 Corinthians 4:7

Tony Davis
A native of Enniscorthy, Tony has a love of the town and it's people and longs to see them trust in Jesus and be saved.
Searching for God and the meaning of life from an early age, he never found the answers he was looking for. He says: "The religion I was brought up with was empty ritual, devoid of any depth or meaning. It seemed to have an emphasis on gathering money and power, and never answered any hard questions, but in spite of that there was something about Jesus that made me want to know him more."
After a series of bereavements and traumatic events as a boy, he like many others of his age found comfort in drink and drugs. He goes on to share some of his story.
"Growing up I didn't know how to talk to people, maybe managing a few words a week. Or how to deal with the incredible pain I was feeling. Drink and drugs offered an answer to everything. I had a family of fellow addicts (all really nice people), the ability to talk to others, and a way to escape the pain. And that was the way of things for a long time.
"Constant drink, drugs and depression is a really bad mix and a vicious downward spiral. I hated myself for being 'broken', for feeling like I couldn't connect with others. I felt alone. Even though I could hold a job and appear ok, suicide was all I could think about.
"Only by the grace of God am I here today. Even in the darkness, God had an amazing plan.
"In 1999, two Scottish missionaries, Andrew and Lorna Burt brought the great news of the gospel to my door. For all the masses I'd gone to, and priests I'd listened to growing up – I'd never heard it before. It was all about trusting in Jesus sacrifice on the cross to pay for our sins so we could be united with God forever. The free gift of God to all who wanted it. No catches, no strings, no donations, no jumping through hoops.
"I debated and argued for years. After all, if something is the truth then it can stand up to all questions. And it did.
"So, in 1999, I asked for forgiveness for my sins and I trusted in Jesus. It'd be nice to think my life suddenly got better after that – no addiction, no depression, no broken body and mind, but no. I have more illnesses than you can shake a good size stick at – and yet I can say I've never felt more healed, more loved, more fulfilled or more full of hope and purpose than I do now.
"I serve in a church of people, who love God and each other. We share our struggles openly and honestly and try to be there for each other in every way we can – recognising that we're sinners saved by the gift of God and not through anything we've ever done or could do.
"We invite everyone we can to get to know Jesus because it's the most loving thing we can do - the absolute best thing that could ever happen to anyone. God doesn't want anyone lost, nor do we."
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10

Jason Dowty
Originally from Salisbury, Wiltshire, Jason moved to Ireland in 2003 with his wife Lorraine to be nearer her family in Bunclody, Wexford.
They have two children, Luke and Ben, and live near Myshall, Carlow, in the shadow of Mount Leinster.
Jason says: "I was brought up in the Methodist Church and have believed in Jesus since I was a child. I'd seen evidence of him working in my life (and in the magnificence of creation) for as long as I can remember, but it was only in 2012 that Lorraine and I made a serious commitment to follow and serve him.
"By then, I'd come to the conclusion that nothing else in life fully satisfied, so we attended Carlow Bible Church, not really knowing what to expect but excited to learn.
"I joined the worship team a couple of years later and, despite rarely having sung in public before, I later became worship leader, learning guitar and beginning to write songs, inspired by my love of Jesus.
"My family and I are passionate about reaching people with the gospel and telling people how he's transformed our lives.
"We moved to Enniscorthy Christian Fellowship in the summer of 2021 believing that God wanted us to serve here, and I was humbled to be asked to join Andrew on the pastoral team in early 2023.
"I love that ECF is all about pointing people to Jesus through Bible-centred teaching and a strong sense of love and community."
Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour." Psalm 25:4
