Introduction

Additional to and separate from our regular Bible Studies, as part of our service to our members, regular attenders and local community we at ECF are very pleased to be able to offer various courses from time to time.

The availability, type and frequency of these courses are directly dependant upon available resources, other events and activities that we are running and of course demand.

The Case For Faith Course

A six session investigation of objections to Christianity for Christians and seekers.  The course will include: The challenge of faith, dealing with doubts, evil and suffering, the power of faith and Why Jesus is the only way to God.

Each session will last approximately 1½ hours in duration, dates, times and venues to be announced later.  Please contact Andrew for more details.

 

Courses that we have been able to offer in the past include..

The Alpha Course

Ever asked the question, "Is there more to life than this?"  Don't worry, the truth is that most of us ask questions like this at some point in our lives.

In fact, the reality is that most of us ask major life changing questions throughout our life.   We may not admit to it or even ask the questions openily for fear of ridicule or condemnation but ask them we do.s going to help us find the answers?

The Alpha Course not only understands our asking these sorts of questions it also welcomes and accommodates our asking them.  Doing so in an open, relaxed and friendly environment.

Christianity Explored

A casual, informal and friendly course Christianity Explored, was developed over a period of about 10 years and is designed for people who are interested in checking out what Christianity is all about or for those who just want to brush up on the basics.

Designed to look look at Jesus, who he was, what his aims were and what it means to follow him, each evening will be casual in style and you won't be asked to pray, sing, or read out loud and you are welcome to ask any question you like or to simply sit back and listen if you prefer.

Designed to cater for people of all age ranges, it has been widely attended internationally, we are very pleased to be able to offer this course at which we actively welcome the questions that most of us ask ourselves concerning, life, faith, self-worth, purpose and belonging.

 

Creative Writing Course

A basic introduction to Creative Writing with a specific view to Creative Writing with a Christian content this course was run over a 12 session period and gave participants to explore any gifts that they may have in this respect.

 

Lifestyle Evangelism Course

This course looked at ways in which we can share our faith and evangelize by lifestyle rather than by one off or outreach specific events.

Taking place over a number of weeks the course looked at such subjects as Evangelism, Outreach, Developing and Sharing Your Personal Testimony.

It also considered biblical examples of how Christ and the early Christians employed lifestyle evangelism within their personal ministries.

 

Marriage Course

Specifically designed to look at Marriage within a Christian context this course covers topics such as

Recognising each other's needs

Communicating effectively

Resolving Conflict

Enjoying Sex

Dealing with past hurts

Helping the other to feel loved

Relating to parents and the in-laws

These are all important issues, vital to the well-being of our relationships, but often neglected in the rush of family life.

Costs

The cost of each course is specific to that individual course, the materials needed for that course and overheads such as venue costs, refreshments, etc. but we are delighted to be able to say that so far we have been able to provide most course at no cost to those participating.

Venues

Again this is dependant on the style and size of the course being run and the level of participation at each course.

Generally speaking they are held within the Enniscorthy Area and Venue details are announced when the course details are announced.

Transportation

We very much appreciate it when participants are able to provide their own transport to course venues but should you have difficulty with transportation and would like to attend a course please do not let this be an obstacle to you without first letting us know of your difficulty and we will do all that we can to help with transportation.
