ABOUT US

Introduction

Fully representing the life, history, activities and events of the Fellowship in one single web page is by no means easy to do.  So, on this page we have tried to provide only a brief description of who we are and what we do, whilst also providing you with links and navigational aids to help you gain even more information of interest and a better understanding of both ourselves and our faith.

As you spend time visiting this our website home and viewing all the different pages available to you, it is our sincere hope not only that you will be able to see that the following description is very fitting, but also that you will be able to see why we are who we are and why we invite you to come and join us.

So who are we?

A fuller account of our history can be found by visiting our fellowship's history webpage. But on our Home Page we give the following description of ourselves...

"Enniscorthy Christian Fellowship (or ECF for short) is an independent evangelical church which aims to see people CHANGED by Jesus and become COMMITTED members of a COMMUNITY of believers, CELEBRATING what God has done, CARING for others and living CONTAGIOUS lives."

Meeting every Sunday morning between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm at the Astro Active Centre, Bellefield, Enniscorthy, the fellowship comprises of people from all sorts of backgrounds, nationalities, cultures and ages.  Crèche facilities are available for those parents attending the fellowship with young babies and Children’s Church is available to children of school age whose parents are attending our services.

Meeting together is something that we do not as an act of obligation or out of any tradition but as a result of a deep desire to come together as a family of believers.  Believers whose lives have been changed and who now have clear and personal relationships with Christ Jesus.

A family of believers who are committed to each other, supporting and loving each other in very real and practical ways just as we are taught to in God's word.

What do we do?

A small but growing fellowship, we are grateful for everything God has done and continues to do both in our own lives and also the life of others. And so we celebrate His love not only by coming together to worship Him on Sunday mornings, but also through sharing, learning, praying, praising and caring together through other activities and events such as Bible Studies, Prayer Breakfasts, Prayer Meetings, Fellowship Evenings, Family Fun Nights, International Evenings and Weekends Away.

Based at the Astro Active Centre, Bellefield, here in Enniscorthy, being a part of the life of Enniscorthy and the surrounding areas is something that is very important to us.   Because of this, many of the pages of this our website home feature photographs of Enniscorthy and the surrounding areas.an>

It is also one of the reasons why, in addition to the activities that we provide for the members of the fellowship, we are also very honoured to be able to care for others both in the local community and surrounding areas by also providing such activities as...

Kids Clubs, Youth Clubs, Summer Camps, Beautiful Women Nights, Coffee Mornings, Connect, Family Fun Nights, Alpha Courses, and much, much more.

Additional to these we are very honoured to be able to visit our local hospital in order to provide some company and support and to share God's love for all people. A love which is freely available to all who would receive it.

We as a fellowship are honoured to be part of the wider Christian family and are blessed in being able to support other Christian ministries.  Ministries such as, The Barnabas Fund, Tearfund, Scripture Union, People International, Operation Mobilisation, Christian Concern for Freedom of Conscience (CCFC), Samaritans Purse.

We also support individual Christian brothers and sisters known to us who are training or serving in the area.  Folk like Mick and Bernie Breen, Johanna Austin, and Tracy Nolan.  Further information concerning all of the ministries or folk that we are honoured to support can be found by either clicking on their names above or by visiting our Supported Ministries page.

What do we believe?

We are very open about what we believe and because of thWe are very open about what we believe and because of this a full explanation of what we believe can be found by reading our Statement of Faith.

Why do we invite you to come and join with us?

Knowing and experiencing God's love through a personal relationship with Christ Jesus is something that is to be shared and freely offered to all and we are taught that as believers we are to be His representatives on earth.

And as well as having a focus on the eternal we are also taught that God's love does not only apply to the eternal but also to the here and now and that we as believers are called to serve others.

And it because of this that we are honoured to be able to offer the activities that we offer, not just so we can bring people to Christ but so we can minister God's love and serve the local and wider communities, through the provision of such things as...

Kids Clubs, Youth Clubs, Summer Camps, Beautiful Women Nights, Coffee Mornings, Youth Prayer and Praise Evenings, Family Fun Nights, Alpha Courses, Marriage Courses, and much, much more.
